Physical Disk Disappeared

For the past few days my Time Machine Backup hasn't been working so I logged in to OMV on my raspberry pi today to try and figure out why. I noticed that the hard drive that I had previously labeled NAS3 is not in my list of physical disks anymore and as a result, the Apple Filing share now says

TimeMachine [on cfb7420a-dcb0-4cef-bcc2-8d39784e0a09, TimeMachine/]

When it used to say

TimeMachine [on NAS3, TimeMachine/]

What should I do?

This happens quite often where the usb to sata controller doesn't seem to be ready when the RPi is booting. Haven't really found a solution other than use something other than an RPi or don't reboot. mount -a should fix it once it is booted though.

OK so the physical disk is there that was missing but the shares but I can't access the shares on it including the time machine share. My MacBook says it can't connect to the disk.

Need to make sure they are mounted and possibly restart the services.

I restarted the HD as well as the RPi. The HD is appearing in my Physical Disks but not in my File Systems.

You still don't the NAS4 (/dev/sdc1) in the filesystems tab? Your other drive doesn't have a filesystem on it according to that output.

I see NAS4 in the filesystems tab. It's just the NAS3 that's gone that I had my Time Machine backups and photo library backups on before.

Not sure what happened but Linux (not just OMV) doesn't know there is a filesystem on the NAS3 disk.

Ok thanks for your help. I will try to connect to the HD directly and see if I can save any of the data.
