    • CRON-APT fetch plexmediaserver failed (again)

      Hi,

since some days I got this error message in the cron-apt email. All other updates can be loaded without any problem.

      Source Code

      1. Err https://downloads.plex.tv/repo/deb/ public/main plexmediaserver amd64 1.7.5.4035-313f93718
      2. GnuTLS recv error (-110): The TLS connection was non-properly terminated.
      3. Fetched 21.4 MB in 12min 48s (27.8 kB/s)
      4. E: Failed to fetch https://downloads.plex.tv/repo/deb/pool/p/plexmediaserver/plexmediaserver_1.7.5.4035-313f93718_amd64.deb GnuTLS recv error (-110): The TLS connection was non-properly terminated.
The blank space in line no. 1 between '.../deb/' and 'public' is just the same written in that email.

If I click on the first URL (downloads.plex.tv/repo/deb/) I get this message in the browser.

If I click on the second URL (downloads.plex.tv/repo/deb/poo….4035-313f93718_amd64.deb) it is possible to download the debian package.

Any ideas what is going wrong?

Thanks @ryecoaaron for the quick fix.

@ryecoaaronYou need to change the repo to be like this:

      deb downloads.plex.tv/repo/deb/ ./public main
      @gderf
      Thanks for your hint.
Ok, already fixed by ryecoaaron, but nevertheless could you please explain shortly which file I had to edit otherwise?

You would need to change /etc/apt/sources.list.d/omv-extras-org.list BUT this file would be changed with any change in omv-extras. That is why I had to fix the plugin.

    • Hi guys, I have to activate this thread again.

There is a new plexmedia server version available. Since then I get a similar (not exactly the same) error message in cron-apt as what I have written at the beginning of this thread.

      Source Code

      1. Get:1 https://downloads.plex.tv/repo/deb/ ./public/main plexmediaserver amd64 1.8.1.4139-c789b3fbb [107 MB]
      2. Err https://downloads.plex.tv/repo/deb/ ./public/main plexmediaserver amd64 1.8.1.4139-c789b3fbb
      3. GnuTLS recv error (-110): The TLS connection was non-properly terminated.
      4. E: Failed to fetch 8.1.4139-c789b3fbb_amd64.deb">https://downloads.plex.tv/repo/deb/pool/p/plexmediaserver/plexmediaserver_1.8.1.4139-c789b3fbb_amd64.deb GnuTLS recv error (-110): The TLS connection was non-properly terminated.
      5. E: Some files failed to download

Last time this was fixed by @ryecoaaron by an repo update in omv-extras plugin.

Is it to to be expected to change the repo entry every time a new plexmedia server version is available?

There is nothing to fix in omv-extras. The url didn't change and I'm not getting any errors right now.

Uh, nope. But if plex changes their repo URL, there is nothing we can do other than change it. Ideally, they shouldn't change it.
