couchpotato error when trying to start

  • Good day everyone,
    I hope some one here will be able to help me out with my problem.

    System:
    version: 3.0.84 (Erasmus)
    Processor: Intel pentium 4 3.06ghz
    Kernel: Linux 4.9.0-2grsec-686-pae
    Memory: 2gb

    Ok so I have installed couchpotato from the webUI plugins.
    Repo: https://github.com/RuudBurger/CouchPotatoServer.git
    Branch: master
    Run as User: couchpotato
    unmask: 000 - allow read/write and execute
    settings Volume: blank for default
    settings folder: /var/opt/couchpotato

    When I enable couchpotato, and hit apply i get the following error:

    Failed to execute command 'export PATH=/bin:/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/sbin; export LANG=C; systemctl start couchpotato.service 2>&1' with exit code '1': Job for couchpotato.service failed. See 'systemctl status couchpotato.service' and 'journalctl -xn' for details.

    So I ran systemctl status couchpotato.service and get this:

    root@nas:~# systemctl status couchpotato.service

    I have uninstalled, purged, reinstalled, cleaned, and updated, but still get this same issue.

    Here is the settings file too, just in case:
    [core]
    launch_browser = 0
    git_path = "/usr/bin/git"
    port = 5050
    ssl_cert =
    ssl_key =
    url_base =
    permission_file = 0755
    permission_folder = 0755

    All the other threads I saw with cp issues have not helped with my issue.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

  • have you tried radarr (movies) ?? a forked version of sonarr (tvseries) ?

    Yeah, I tried that as well, and seem to be getting similar errors. I have transmission working, and a few other plugins, but sonarr, radarr, and couch potato seem to error out whenever I try to enable them.

  • have you considered running them as docker containers?

    How do I do that, is there a docker plugin i need to setup first?
    I followed the instructions on https://docs.docker.com/engine…tall-using-the-repository
    the line sudo apt-get install docker-ce doesnt work, but sudo apt-get install docker does. However when checking to see if docker is running using there example sudo docker run armhf/hello-world I get the following error:
    sudo: docker: command not found

    Thanks for all your help guys.
