RAID 0 - Adding Larger Disks - HP N40L

  • Hi, I currently have a raid0 setup on my HP N40L, using the following disks

    3tb
    3tb
    1.5tb - (I want to switch this to a 3tb)
    3tb
    1.5tb - (I want to switch this to a 3tb)

    Can this be done?

What if, I remove the two 1.5tb's, clone them to two new 3tb's (using disk clone software), and then place the two new 3tb's in my N40L server

Will all my data be in tact, and, will I now have increased storage of 15tb?

    Thanks

I assume, that you have linear raid (not RAID 0 with striping), right?

If he doesn't, he is wasting 4.5 TB of space :)
