RemoteMount - Where does it mount to

  • HI,

    this may be a stupid question, but i installed remote mount plugin and mounted an NFS share from another NAS drive.

    The GUI doesnt ask where you want it mounted?

    Looking at
    mount |grep nfs
    root@openmediavault:/# mount |grep nfs
    nfsd on /proc/fs/nfsd type nfsd (rw,relatime)
    192.168.0.3:/data/Videos on /srv/c5e8d3ac-5b71-42c6-9dbd-6bf65766a1a7 type nfs (rw,relatime,vers=3,rsize=8192,wsize=8192,namlen=255,hard,proto=tcp,timeo=14,retrans=2,sec=sys,mountaddr=192.168.0.3,mountvers=3,mountport=43414,mountproto=udp,local_lock=none,addr=192.168.0.3)

    is that really where its mounted to?

    Am i missing a step here or do should i softlink to that?

  • Actually, i thought about this. OMV uses shares and "file systems"

    so actually the new mount is listed under "File Systems"

    However i cannot reshare it as i get the following error stack when clicking on "Shared Folders" > Add

    Error #0:exception 'OMV\Exception' with message 'Couldn't extract a UUID from the provided path '/mnt/Videos'.' in /usr/share/php/openmediavault/system/filesystem/backend/remoteabstract.inc:163Stack trace:#0 /usr/share/php/openmediavault/system/filesystem/backend/remoteabstract.inc(140): OMV\System\Filesystem\Backend\RemoteAbstract::extractUuidFromMountPoint('/mnt/Videos')#1 /usr/share/php/openmediavault/system/filesystem/filesystem.inc(884): OMV\System\Filesystem\Backend\RemoteAbstract->getImpl('192.168.0.3:/da...')#2 /usr/share/openmediavault/engined/rpc/sharemgmt.inc(86): OMV\System\Filesystem\Filesystem::getImplByMountPoint('/srv/170dbac9-b...')#3 [internal function]: OMVRpcServiceShareMgmt->getCandidates(Array, Array)#4 /usr/share/php/openmediavault/rpc/serviceabstract.inc(124): call_user_func_array(Array, Array)#5 /usr/share/php/openmediavault/rpc/rpc.inc(86): OMV\Rpc\ServiceAbstract->callMethod('getCandidates', Array, Array)#6 /usr/sbin/omv-engined(536): OMV\Rpc\Rpc::call('ShareMgmt', 'getCandidates', Array, Array, 1)#7 {m
