Hi everyone,
I want to switch from my old debian NAS hacked DNS320l to a DIY OMV NAS, but I have a problem with my fresh install.
Here is the problem:
I've tested my write speed of my hard drive locally on the NAS like that :
dd if=/dev/zero of=tempfile bs=10M count=1024
result > ~108MB/s
I've tested my network connection with iperf server on the NAS and cli on my computer:
result > 930Mb/s -> 116MB/s
We can deduce a transfer rate of ~100MB/s
But it is not the case. In practice, I have: read at ~52MB/s and write at ~35MB/s
I have read the tuning thread to improve smb speed so here is my extras options in smb config:
socket options = IPTOS_LOWDELAY SO_RCVBUF=131072 SO_SNDBUF=131072 TCP_NODELAY
min receivefile size = 2048
aio read size = 2048
aio write size = 2048
write cache size = 1024000
read raw = yes
write raw = yes
getwd cache = yes
oplocks = yes
max xmit = 65535
dead time = 15
large readwrite = yes
log level = 1
Alles anzeigen
I've topped when I was reading file on my NAS: ~50% cpu usage
When writing: ~30% cpu usage
My CPU is a intel N3710 with 4GB of ram.
Any ideas please?
Sorry for my bad english.
