Hello!
I have 4 x WD30EFRX in RAID5 soft array.
Now array in resync status:
root@OpenMediaVault:~# cat /proc/mdstat
Personalities : [raid6] [raid5] [raid4]
md0 : active raid5 sda[0] sdd[3] sdc[2] sdb[1]
8790405120 blocks super 1.2 level 5, 512k chunk, algorithm 2 [4/4] [UUUU]
[===================>.] resync = 99.6% (2919278728/2930135040) finish=852.3min speed=212K/sec
unused devices: <none>
root@OpenMediaVault:~#
It seems that resync can't be done because /dev/sdb stops responding on command smartctl -a /dev/sdb. Other disks are responding on it.
The last result of this command:
root@OpenMediaVault:~# smartctl -a /dev/sdb
smartctl 6.4 2014-10-07 r4002 [x86_64-linux-4.9.0-0.bpo.3-amd64] (local build)

I have new disk for replace, but how to safely replace /dev/sdb without data loss?
