page 2 of file systems not accessible.

  • Hi, all.
Have 29 drives, the physical drives tab has 2 pages but the file systems page has 1 of 1. Tried OMV reboots cleared browser cache. Yes, the drives do have file systems on them. If I delete the file system on one drive, one of the next ones on the non existent page 2, shows up.

Is there a standard way to reset this?

It is working in OMV 2.22 but thats another build.

It might be a bug. What version of OMV is not working?

I tried deleting to 24 file systems, but gui didn't pickup drive 26 +.
Clicking on different coloums gives access to the hidden drives, so no biggie.

The mergerfs share says it's not referenced, but is accessible by by SMB. Just added 13 more drives so not sure if that's relevant. Tried overwriting the the ACLs. Same.

one thing at a time. I will have to add a bunch of VMDKs to a VM to see if I can reproduce.

Feature request? Format and mount multiple drives

That will probably not happen. For the *very* few people that have that many drives and don't use raid, the command line is very easy for the formatting. Mounting is easy in the web interface if you want until you have mounted many drives and then apply.

I was able to replicate the 25+ filesystem bug. I would file a bug on bugtracker

  • Done.

Oh, I understood that, hence the 'lol' at the end, it was relevant to my current situation and abilities.

I suppose moving forward I should just use OMV as a GUI summary and learn to do system changes on the command line.

    Thanks again.

That can be tough since OMV might overwrite a lot of your changes.

Looked briefly into formatting multiple drives from the console...

    Nope.

It isn't hard... The following will format sdb, sdc, and sdd.
    for drive in b c d; do mkfs.ext4 -m 0 /dev/sd${drive}; done
