For copy work I temporarily connected an additional harddisk and created a shared folder and SMB-share. After work done, I deleted the SMB-share, but not the shard folder.
Now the temporarily disk has gone, as well as the uuid=..., but the entry in 'shared folders' is still present: "Volume: n/a; Referenced: No".
Any way to get rid of this entry?
Thanks
How to get rid of obsolete share

- OMV 2.x

AFAIK you need to manually edit /etc/openmediavault/config.xml
But make a copy of that file first, so that you can go back if things get messed up.

Thanks for the advise
Just to erase the block between<sharedfolder>
</sharedfolder>related to my abandoned share and then reboot?
Any side effects?
Is the config.xml designated to be manually edited or only automatic by OMV? -

Yes, it is supposed to be generated by OMV, but in your case as the drive is not available any more you probably have to edit it manually.
If you keep the backup of the config.xml you should be safe. If you encounter any issues just replace the modified file by the backup.
You can also wait if somebody else has a better way.

You can delete shared folders if they are not references by any service anymore.

You mean in config.xml?
I understand Erik is not able to delete the folders in the GUI as the drive has been unplugged. So is editing config.xml ok?

unfortunately not from the webadmin.
Thats the error message I get:
CodeFailed to get configuration (xpath=//system/fstab/mntent[uuid='680f22d1-ede7-48f3-8860-fdab406fbfe5']) Fehler #3003: exception 'OMVException' with message 'Failed to get configuration (xpath=//system/fstab/mntent[uuid='680f22d1-ede7-48f3-8860-fdab406fbfe5'])' in /usr/share/openmediavault/engined/rpc/sharemgmt.inc:518 Stack trace: #0 [internal function]: OMVRpcServiceShareMgmt->delete(Array, Array) #1 /usr/share/php/openmediavault/rpcservice.inc(125): call_user_func_array(Array, Array) #2 /usr/share/php/openmediavault/rpc.inc(79): OMVRpcServiceAbstract->callMethod('delete', Array, Array) #3 /usr/sbin/omv-engined(500): OMVRpc::exec('ShareMgmt', 'delete', Array, Array, 1) #4 {main}
Under 'Shared folder': Referenced No
Under 'Shared folder in use': In Use By 'config/system/shares/sharedfolder'The easiest way wouldbe to reattach temporarily the hard disk again, but I am afraid, very like this one now went into my sat-receiver.
What might happen when I just erase the respective 14 lines
<sharedfolder>
...
</sharedfolder>
in config.xml as proposed and reboot?If there are side effects, I stay as it is. Not a big deal.
Thanks in advance
