    • Mounting Raid from Stoneburner

Hello all, I am very new to openmediavault I havent used it in some time. I was using stoneburner before and I have a simple raid 2 hard drive system with smaller laptop drive as the operating system drive. My issue is I replace the pc I was using it failed I removed my drives and reinstalled newest stable OMV. It installs fine and I can mount my Raid but im unsure on how to share it to the network so I can recover my old data from the raid .I want to reformat with newer openmediavault but I need my data first . any steps please surely would appreciated ..sorry for being so new guys im reading everything I can on this ...
    • I can see the folders that I once used and the directories on my raid config . When I add them as shared folders I cannot see them on the network or anyplace for that matter . I added permissions for those folders still nothing. could it be I am not using the same password as I did when I added them to the Raid originally ? Is there a way to take control of this raid config ? I tried adding my old username to the users but I might be not getting the same password its been some time since i used this config.. any help is most appreciated to say the least. thank you
      Ray.

PS. I also see that when I try to add a share im getting red circle on the directories , it must be a permission issue Because one folder I have called music I wasnt using a password on the network before and I can add that one ..

Are you trying to see these folders from a Windows computer?

Than you need to add this shared folder to the SMB/CIFS service and enable the service.
Might be worth to have a look at the full-install video

I think I have never seen that. Could you post a screenshot of this?
