Failed to execute RPC ... think my configuration crashed ...

    • think my configuration crashed ...

      Hello! I could use some help over here!!
      I'm in OMV 2.2.14 and just did an apt-get upgrade and now i couldn't even use my password to login @ webGUI.
      Tried omv-firstaid and changed my password and managed to login, but i cannot change any setting in the webGUI.
      It takes ages just to respond me with a 'Connection Failure' message.

      The message i get from SSH when trying option from omv-firstaid is :

      Updating web administration settings. Please wait ...
      {"response":null,"error":{"code":7003,"message":"Failed to read from socket: Resource temporarily unavailable","trace":"exception 'OMVException' with message 'Failed to read from socket: Resource temporarily unavailable' in \/usr\/share\/php\/openmediavault\/rpc.inc:168\nStack trace:\n#0 \/usr\/sbin\/omv-rpc(107): OMVRpc::exec('Config', 'applyChanges', Array, Array, 2)\n#1 {main}"}}
      Failed to execute RPC (service=Config, method=applyChanges)

      Do you have anything in your minds that could help me resolve my issues?

      Thanks a lot, in advance, for your time and any info!!!

      Alex
    • Is there a reason, why you upgraded from the CLI instead with the GUI?

      Unfortunately I do not know the reason for the error message, but here is what I would try.
      1. clear browser cache
      2. apt clean from omv-extras menue in GUI
      3. check/upgrade from update management menue in GUI

      Which version is now shown for OMV? What hardware are you using. Others might need some more information to help.
