Issue on usb backup configuration

  • Hi all,
    I'm new in this forum - please correct me, if this is the wrong place...

    I've got a running OMV 3.0.9.4 (updated today).
    The usb backup plugin (3.2.20) directly comes up with an error message "The property 'fsuuid' does not exist in the model 'conf.service.usbbackup.job'.":

    I know I had a working usb backup configuration, but maybe something has changed in between.

    How can I reset the the job settings?
    SystemInformation-Report is attached...

    Thanks for any advice.

    Regards,
    Carsten

  • Hi,

    is this an old usb backup job which you have had before you have updated the OMV version? From which version do you have updated? Since OMV 3.0.7? disk-uuid is no more used to detect a disk.

    So it might help if you delete your old backup job and create it new from scratch.

    OMV 3.0.100 (Gray style)

    ASRock Rack C2550D4I C0-stepping - 16GB ECC - 6x WD RED 3TB (ZFS 2x3 Striped RaidZ1) - Fractal Design Node 304 -

    3x WD80EMAZ Snapraid / MergerFS-pool via eSATA - 4-Bay ICYCube MB561U3S-4S with fan-mod

  • Since there is no job shown on the GUI, how can I remove existing jobs?

    Maybe somewhere in /etc/openmediavault/config.xml? At least there is a <usbbackup> tag.
    <usbbackup>
      <jobs>
      <job>

    But I don´t know exactely which lines are to be removed. Please make a backup copy before editing this file.

    Another way is to ask @votdev or @ryecoaaron :) . AFAIK either one has written it.

  • just checked the file.
    It contains a key (fsuuid).
    I will correct this later.
    Thanks a lot for your answers.

    [edit]

    • create backup for /etc/openmediavault/config.xml
    • edit /etc/openmediavault/config.xml

      • Remove all tags <fsuuid>...</fsuuid>
    • GUI screen loads without error; there was no need to stop/restart OMV
