Would a write cache help?

    So I'm running RAID1 on two NAS drives, with OMV running off of a 120gb SSD. I'm only getting write speeds of ~10mbps, which I think is a little slower than it should be performing. Would it make sense to buy a small USB drive to run OMV on and use the SSD as a write cache?

    This sounds to me more like an Network problem. I think the lan controller doesnt use gigabit speed oder your switch or router doesnt support gbit lan so first check your connection speed from the system to a another pc with gigabit lan in your local network
