/dev/md126 has unsupported feature(s): 64bit

  • I have installed OMV 0.4.6 (Fedaykin) on a Thecus N5550 NAS.
On this NAS the disks where already partitioned. The Thecus OS created a md126 (JBOD) array.

After installation i've remounted the disk and all seemed to work well.
Only after each reboot i'm getting the following error:

Then it hangs on the famous CONTROL-D prompt.

Should I upgrade the fsck installed?

update: after doing an apt-get upgrade, it changed md126 to md0
    - Upgraded to 0.4.32
    - ran strace (strace e2fsck -n /dev/md0)
Maybe someone else can get some info out this? I can't. :(

The Thecus must use a newer version of the ext utilities than Debian Squeeze. You could fix with a bootable distro like SystemRescueCD or Parted Magic but your OMV install will never be able to. Upgrading the ext utilites might cause problems. I would move the data and recreate your raid array.
