Wrong update to plexmediaserver-installer 1.10.1.4602-f54242b6b-1

  • Hi all!

I updated a plugin via WEB UI

Checked the /var/lib/plexmediaserver: is empty :cursing:

I removed a package (apt-get remove plexmediaserver-installer) and I tried again in CLI but result is agint wrong:

How can get again a Plex Media Server?
    THX!

    Raspberry Pi3 | OMV 3.0.97 (Erasmus) | Armbian 5.33 | Plex Media Server
    CubieTruck (Cubieboard3) | Arch Linux ARM | Plex Media Server | openHAB2

  • There were issues with the latest plexmediaserver plugin. Please search the forum.

    OMV 3.0.100 (Gray style)

    ASRock Rack C2550D4I C0-stepping - 16GB ECC - 6x WD RED 3TB (ZFS 2x3 Striped RaidZ1) - Fractal Design Node 304 -

    3x WD80EMAZ Snapraid / MergerFS-pool via eSATA - 4-Bay ICYCube MB561U3S-4S with fan-mod

  • I also had issues with Plex in the past. I recommend using the Plex image from their official website. I've read somewhere that the omv plugin has multiple issues and will be gone in some time.
Just download the .deb from here , dpkg -i it and you should be fine.

    Your's Sincerely

My NAS: OVM 3.x, 2x 3TB WD Red | Daily backup using rsync | Runing 24/7 for 3 years now without any failures :)

  • Just download the .deb

Which distribution did you use? I see only Fedora, Ubuntu, CentOS? Most likely Ubuntu, because it´s Debian-based.

There are other posts here which recommend to use a Docker image as a further opportunity.

Please try ctrl-shift-R and read this before posting a question.

Please put your OMV system details in your signature.
Please don't PM for support... Too many PMs!

I used the Ubuntu package. In my case, most prerequisites were already installed, so I think it should work out of the box on your machine too.
But of course, you can also use a Docker image.
