PowerEdge T30 Xeon E3-1225 v5

  • My new PowerEdge T30, with Xeon E3-1225 v5, hangs at first boot after fresh install on USB. I get dropped to a shell after "Alert! /dev/sda1 does not exist"

Not found much searching here nor Google.

It has twice booted into OMV from the USB, but did not survive reboot.
    Happens with OMV3 and OMV4

Any pointers? I am nearing my wit's end.

Will be trying to adjust the rootdelay when I get home.

    Thank you,
    Jerry

  • I had a very similar problem recently installing Debian onto a cheaper netbook with EMMC storage, the rootdelay flag ended up doing the trick (still haven't diagnosed WHY)... I hope the rootdelay will do it for you, sounds like same issue.

  • I had this issue when I was installing OMV 3 and had HDDs inserted in my HP ProLiant Gen 8.
The trick was to remove every device instead of the installation stick and the desired storage device.

    Maybe it helps.
