Mini-ITX NAS in a Sharkoon QB1 Case

  • Mini-ITX case: Sharkoon QB One
    Mainboard: Asrock H110M-ITX Intel Mainboard
    CPU: Intel Pentium Prozessor G4560
    RAM: Corsair CMV4GX4M1A2133C15 4GB DDR4 2133Mhz CL15
    Data-HDD: Seagate IronWolf ST4000VN008 4TB (central storage)
    OS-SSD : SunBow 32GB 2,5''
    CPU-Fan: Alpenfön Silvretta
    PSU: PicoPSU-90 12V 90W power supply

Only the CPU-Fan is working (820 rpm), the Harddisk is working - even with a load of gum and dampers... working on it ^^

Here some more views (inside and backside) of my NAS case:

This is the view on the harddisk bay. Space for two HDD in 3.5 inch plus one 2.5. I used the second 3.5 inch bay for the OS SDD... but the SDD finds also a place in the rear to enable placing a second 3.5 HDD.

As always: Some troubles with the cables...but at least CPU fan is not disturbed!

I used a predefined round jack space for the power supply jack to the picoPSU-90.

  • By now, I run it without case fan - only the CPU fan is active. So it is really quiet. One case fan is included in the case, but yet deinstalled. Works fine without.
