Did you edit the rsnapshot conf file manually?
-
yes, it wasn't with the file you gave me (openmediavault-omvextrasorg_latest_all3.deb)
-
-
You mean, when you enable omv-extras you do not find the rsnapshot-plugin?
Check if it shows up when you enable the testing repo.
According to omv-extras.org it should be in stable, but may be this is not correct. Does not harm to enable the testing repo.It is better to use the plugin to configure a job.
-
Hey,
I used the plugin from http://omv-extras.org/joomla/i…hp/omv-plugins-3/3-stable
I've tried the tsting repo, but still get the error.
Shout I rebuild my SD cart?
-
Can you post the output of one of the files in /var/lib/openmediavault/rsnapshot.d/?
-
-
I am not sure at which stage Ralph gets the error message.
For my understanding the following steps have to be done:
- install OMV-extras
- enable the needed repo, so that the rsnapshot-plugin in listed in the list of installable plugins (do not know if it is in the testing repo)
- install rsnapshot-plugin
- configure a job in the rsnapshot-plugin in the GUI of OMV
- run the job from the GUI of OMV
@Ralph79: Is that what you did? At which point did you get which error?
-
That's what I did.
At stage 3 was the error.
-
Stage 3 would be before trying to execute a job. Stage 5 is what the pic in the first post is showing. If you are having problems installing the plugin, that error output is needed.
-
-
Also configuration of a job should be done only in the rsnapshot-plugin in the GUI of OMV.
No need to manually edit any file from the CLI.
-
I was wrong guys. The erro comes with stage 5
-
then we are back here
Can you post the output of one of the files in /var/lib/openmediavault/rsnapshot.d/?
-
-
I don't know how to get this file /var/lib/openmediavault/rsnapshot.d/?
Is there a guides which i can read?
-
SSH into the server and type
cd /var/lib/openmediavault/rsnapshot.d/ to change into this directory.
Then type ls to see which files are in this directory.
Then cat "name of one of the files" to print the content of this file on the screen.
Copy and paste the output here.
-
If you have a display and keyboard connected to your NAS, you do not need SSH.Well, this does not make sense, as you cannot copy and paste in this case.
-
-
I'm using putty for ssh but that doesn't work pfff.
It will be for tomorrow.
-
-
That is the letter 'l' not a one '1'
-
-
-
now type
cat press tab-key and enter
then post the output
