Share folder from already mounted root volume (lvm)

  • Hi,

I've installed the latest version of OMV 4 (+extras +lvm2 +zfs) from github (self built without watchdog) on ProxMox (Debian Stretch). I'd like to share a folder from my already mounted root volume (/dev/mapper/pve-root). Unfortunately, the device (/dev/dm-1) has no label and is not selectable when trying to add a shared folder:

Since it's my boot/root volume, I can't un- and re-mount it via OMV. I tried to add it to the Config.xml, but no success. Any idea how to fix this?

    Regards

You can't. It has nothing to do with not having a label. OMV can't use the OS filesystem. It is displayed in the filesystem tab for informational purposes only.
