RAID1 clean, degraded (second array member missing) after each reboot.

  • Hi,
I have the following problem on my RAID1 consisting of two 1GB-partitions (one 1TB drive /dev/sda1, one 1TB partition on a 4TB drive /dev/sdb1). After OMV-reboot, the second drive is always missing from the array and it is showing as clean & degraded. Funny enough, the other partition (NTFS, standalone) on the same drive as the missing RAID partition is showing up. Host platform is RPi2 on OMV 3.0.99. Below are the commandline dumps. And help is highly appreciated. And yes, I know that RPi is not an optimal platform for a NAS let alone RAID.

  • Ok, I give up ...
Can anybody tell me at least the sequence of commands to convert my RAID1 back to two single drives (without loosing data), mounting them in OMV and setting up a nightly backup with rsync?
