Network Error - Odroid XU4

I have problems when I try to set static IP in the webGUI or with omv-firstaid.

I get the following error:

Any Idea how to fix it up?

By the way everything works fine using DHCP.

Sounds like you are putting invalid settings in the web interface for the static address. Post a screenshot of the settings.

That doesn’t show a lot of the settings like dns servers and mtu

I will write what I did set:

Interface: eth0

IPV4:
Static IP: 192.168.1.25
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.1.1

DNS (I checked the router): 87.216.1.65

IPV6: Disabled.

MTU = 0

No WOL.

Tell me if you need anything else.

No difference.

I used a USB Wifi device, tryed to config the network but with same results. Didn't work out with DHCP neither.

Right now I have DHCP on my ethernet.

Any suggestions?

Exact same problem here. Can't set static ip. Fresh install.

I have stretch-openmediavault-rock64-0.6.31-209-armhf.img.xz for rock64 device. Maybe it has something to do with the device?

By the way, as I said I am using a rock64, not a odroid xu4, but I posted here since it seems to be the same error as OP.

Error after clicking apply (yellow message pops up everytime)

Got same problem today when installing 4.1.3 - fresh install.

It seems to be, that OMV adds the option "auto interface" , e.g. in my installation "auto enp6s0" in file /etc/network/interfaces.

But this entry when using static configuration breaks the network script to start.
quite clear, because a network interface can't use static settings AND use auto config = dhcp ?!

I try to fix it by commenting the row , but webgui still complaining about network settings :-/
but at least network is up and i can contact my server via web.

Sorry, i was wrong, the option "auto" is indeed no problem.
Really don*t know why omv is having a problem.
If I'm deleting the auto row then the network script runs through...
