Bug in Rsync scheduling?

    • Offizieller Beitrag

Is this a bug or do I something wrong with the setup?

The asterisk in the minute field is telling it to run every minute. If you set it to 7, then your job would run at 1:07

  • Thank you, ryecoaaron.

I have changed the * into 0 and now the job runs only once at 1 o'clock.

But still, I think the scheduling method a bit confusing, because it suggest that running every minute is set by the switch on the right. Anyway, my problem is solved.

That switch is used, if you want to run - let's say - every 5 minutes. By the way, this is not a special feature of OMV, but a common way to do it on Linux/Unix. You need to spend some time to understand how it is working, but than you will realize that it is very versatile.
Have a look here for some background.
