Error When Checking For Updates/Plugins

  • Hey everyone, total newbie here. Still learning the ropes.

I've searched all over this forum and google for a fix, but i'm unable to fetch updates through both the web interface and from the CLI. I get the following error...

Now when I was first setting up the server, I wanted to install OpenVPN. While trying to install it and following the guide on GitHub it had asked me to add a line inside of /etc/apt/sources.list. I think this is where I goofed everything up because I was reading in another thread about how you should never try to alter your sources list.

Looking at the list, everything *seems* to be in order, but I can't confidently say I didn't screw anything up. Heres my sources.list.

I compared it to other sources.list i found people in here post, it looks okay but again i'm not sure.

I'll attach my system info in the thread. It was too long to post.

Thank you in advance for all the help, i'm sorry if this is a simple issue. I've looked everywhere trying to figure out the problem, bu i'm afraid of trying anything else I read and accidentally making the problem worse.

Why did you add entries to your sources.list? Remove those (especially since they are formatted incorrectly). If you want the plex repo, you need to install omv-extras and enable it from the omv-extras repo tab.

  • So, following your advice, my sources.list should look like this..?
