Usually, but the answer is, "it depends". (Mostly on the number of physical ports available.)
What's your OMV set up and how many disks (and their format) do you currently have connected?
And since you said "JBOD", the assumption is RAID is not part of your setup.

Let me change my question:
Just from the Software point of view, how can I add one HDD (4TB - Empty) to an existing JBOD (2x6TB - partially filled) within OMV.

Physically install the disk.
In the left side menu in the GUI: Under Storage, Disks, find your new drive , select it and wipe it, with the wipe button. (DON"T WIPE AN EXISTING DRIVE.)
Then go to Storage, File Systems and click the Create button.
A dialog box pops up: In the Device line, select your wiped drive. On the Label line give the drive a short name. Then, select a format type on the File System line. If you're note sure, EXT4 is probably the best choice.
