Hi all, I hope this is the proper place to ask my question. I have a 10+2 HDD snapraid array with unionfs sitting on top. This array has been operating well. However, now I need to move files from disk to disk within the array. For example, I need to move files from Data_HDD1 to Data_HDD2. My crude understanding tells me that I may need to do it with the following steps:
1. Remove Data_HDD1 from snapraid configuration
2. Run sync with options --force-empty and --force-full
3. Move files from Data_HDD1 to Data_HDD2
4. Run sync
5. Add Data_HDD1 (now empty) back to the array
Am I getting this right? Since I'll have to do multiple disks, is there a shorter way to do this? How about breaking the snapraid array entirely first, do my file management, then set it up again? Is there any risk in screwing up snapraid if I do that?
