WD Live TV not connecting to OMV

Hi all,

I have just installed OMV 4.1.12 (ARRAKIS). I have setup smb/cifs and can access OMV from windows10 laptop and iPad but not from my WD
Live TV.

WD Live TV can 'see' openmediavault but not connect to it. Get error

'Unable to connect to selected source.Please make sure the selected source is active and available for sharing'

Used to work fine with Omv3x. The only difference is that I have added a second HDD. And merged them using unionfs.

Let me know if you need any further information.

Any help appreciated.

That would point to a permissions issue, unless the unionfs is throwing something out. Have you tried doing the usual test, set up a test share with guest access/everyone on omv then try wd live tv again to see if it can access that share.

Why not simply typing "wdtv" in the upper right corner (search box) ?
Or just add "ntlm auth = yes" to extra options on the SMB/CIFS --> Settings Page.
