Smb/CIFS mount problem with remotemount

  • Hi, first of all, i'm very sorry for my poor english.

i have a dns320 and i can access trough smb to folders.

i'm tryin to do same with remotemount on omv on my raspberry pi3 but i'm getting this error:

mount error: cifs filesystem not supported by the system mount error(19): No such device Refer to the mount.cifs(8) manual page (e.g. man mount.cifs).

    what means?

i've thought to install raspbian so i can mount smb share and get a plex server with my old nas. it could be a better solution?

    thanks

    A few questions:

You say you can access SMB shares, that are on a DNS230. (Made by D-Link, the DNS230 ?)

    - Are you trying to do the same thing with a Raspberry Pi, set up SMB shares?
    - Maybe you've set up SMB shares on a Raspberry-PI, that you can't get access to?

    - Or, are you trying to use Remote Mount, to mount the DNS230's SMB shares in OMV?
(Remote mount is used to open a remote share as if it's local. I use to with Rsyn to replicate shares between different platforms.)

Give me an idea of what you are trying to do.
