    • [Help Request] Remote desktop (xRDP) using a docker image instead of omv plugin, how to give access to server root

      Hi,

I am trying to be able to access the server via Remote Desktop using xRDP, running from a docker container, and have access to mount HDD on the host server.

I have managed to find this docker image hub.docker.com/r/rattydave/docker-ubuntu-xrdp-mate-custom/ works quite nice but I have no idea how to give access to this container to the host mounted HDD.

If anyone can give me an advice on how to gain access to the host mounted HDD in the docker container is much appreciated.

      Cheers.
    • Now I feel stupid, this is such a noob question but I have learned my lesson.

It is mainly a docker configuration you need to make to give access to host folders.

If someone has the same question as me:

Just open the docker container configuration under Volumes and Bind Mounts

Host path to mounted HDD in OMV
      /srv

      Container Path
      /whatever

This thread can be closed thank you.
