Remote access to OMV produces an error after login

I've finished installing but am now working a bit more but would like to still tinker around remotely. I can get the login screen, but after logging in I get the following

Error #5002:
OMV\ErrorMsgException: Invalid IP address in /usr/share/php/openmediavault/session.inc:188

I did a search here and the only things I could find were from years ago and seemed to be happening to people regardless of if it was on or off network. IO have no issues on network, only issues when off network. I am currently trying to access it via a port forward (Please don't roast me... I know... I know...)
