    • Many problems after upgrade OMV 3>4

      Hi all,

after ugrade from actual version 3.xx to 4.1.15-1 I got many problems.

      - I can't get any updates.

      Here's the error log:

      Failed to execute command 'export PATH=/bin:/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/sbin; export LANG=C.UTF-8; apt-get update 2>&1' with exit code '100': Get:1 file:/var/cache/openmediavault/archives InRelease Ign:1 file:/var/cache/openmediavault/archives InRelease Get:2 file:/var/cache/openmediavault/archives Release Ign:2 file:/var/cache/openmediavault/archives Release Get:3 file:/var/cache/openmediavault/archives Packages Ign:3 file:/var/cache/openmediavault/archives Packages Get:4 file:/var/cache/openmediavault/archives Translation-de_DE Ign:4 file:/var/cache/openmediavault/archives Translation-de_DE Get:5 file:/var/cache/openmediavault/archives Translation-de Ign:5 file:/var/cache/openmediavault/archives Translation-de Get:6 file:/var/cache/openmediavault/archives Translation-en Ign:6 file:/var/cache/openmediavault/archives Translation-en Get:3 file:/var/cache/openmediavault/archives Packages Ign:3 file:/var/cache/openmediavault/archives Packages Get:4 file:/var/cache/openmediavault/archives Translation-de_DE Ign:4 file:/var/cache/openmediavault/archives Translation-de_DE Get:5 file:/var/cache/openmediavault/archives Translation-de Ign:5 file:/var/cache/openmediavault/archives Translation-de Get:6 file:/var/cache/openmediavault/archives Translation-en Ign:6 file:/var/cache/openmediavault/archives Translation-en Get:3 file:/var/cache/openmediavault/archives Packages Ign:3 file:/var/cache/openmediavault/archives Packages Get:4 file:/var/cache/openmediavault/archives Translation-de_DE Ign:4 ...

I must say, that I don't know OMV or Linux very good. Sorry for that.

If you have any ideas please post it very easy for me. :)

      - The next problem is that I changed the configuration and I can't restart system.
Every time there is the same message above "The configuration has changed...please restart..."

    • The error in the picture is not really an error. It is usually caused by the web interface not being able to contact a heavily loaded system. Your plex and copy making the system hang tells me it is undersized and/or has some hardware issues. What kind of system is it?

It is a selfmade NAS with the following components:

      - Case: Bitfenix Prodigy
      - Mainboard & CPU: ASRock E350M1 Mini-ITX Prozessor AMD E-350 (2x 1,6 GHz) Chip AMD A50M
      - 8 GB Kingston DDR3 RAM
      - BeQuiet Pure Power L8 300 W ATX 80PLUS® Bronze
      - 2 x Western Digital Red 3TB 3,5" SATA 6 Gb/s
      - 1 x WD Red 4 TB

      Any ideas?

      Thank you...

Is it old? Are you accessing OMV's web interface via wireless?

If you aren't running the flashmemory plugin, I am wondering if the ssd is starting to fail.

That wasn't my question. If you are connecting to the web interface using a system on wireless, it may be slow enough or have enough latency to be causing timeouts like this.

      What can this be?
Updates are working fine from the output you have posted. Updating the plex plugin will do a recursive permission fix that is very slow. Just one of the MANY reasons to not use the plex plugin (I am done working on it too). As for when you are doing large file upgrades, you are just taxing your system and the load is high. Not much you can do about that other than get a faster system.

Ok so what is the alternative to plex? Kodi?
Your advise is not to use plex anymore?
