network crashes after a while

  • Hello,

Following my previous thread, i am carrying on building an OMV setup with an Asrock 880GMH U3S3 motherboard and a Intel (R) EXPI9301CTBLK with the 82574 chipset PCIe network card.
i can install and setup everything without any problem.
Here is an grep on enp2s0 (device name of the NIC) on the /var/log/syslog file

It starts up OK but always end up with these errors:
    Jan 25 17:40:23 openmediavault kernel: [ 1855.145011] e1000e 0000:02:00.0 enp2s0: Reset adapter unexpectedly
Jan 25 17:40:23 openmediavault kernel: [ 1855.431014] e1000e 0000:02:00.0 enp2s0: Timesync Tx Control register not set as expected
    I have tried using the
    pcie_aspm=off
    command at startup,
Looked in uefi settings for PCIE aspm but it was disabled
Enhanced C1E was already disabled too
    did:
ethtool -K enp2s0 gso off gro off tso off
    but got that error:
Cannot get device udp-fragmentation-offload settings: operation not supported

So i have pretty much tried everything from the net...
    Anyone has another idea?

  • Update, just noticed the line :
NETDEV WATCHDOG: enp2s0 (e1000e): transmit queue 0 timed out
Comes up eveytime just before the errors in the syslog.
Still digging but I have no clue what the NETDEV WATCHDOG is supposed to do...
    Any thoughts?
