xrdp / RemoteDesktop Plugin: blank screen after login

  • Hello,

if I connect to xrdp/RemoteDesktop, I just get a blank (blue/turquise) screen after logging in.
This is irrispective of the user (a user or root). For "Session" I tried Xorg and X11rdp.

    What could be the reason?

    Regards,
    Hendrik

Something changed with xrdp. I can't get it to work on xubuntu 18 either. The two errors I am getting, i haven't found a solution for. I haven't tried it on OMV lately on a new install. I did get x2go (much better than vnc or rdp) working and I may convert the plugin to this instead.

  • I am having the same problem.
Login with root brings up a blue screen and nothing more.
Login with a different user gives an error "Login failed for Display 0"

I have been using remotedesktop quite frequently, so a solution would be nice.
Anything to know upfront when setting up X2GO?

Anything to know upfront when setting up X2GO?

When I set it up on my xubuntu 18.04 desktop, it was pretty easy. Shouldn't be too much different on an OMV system.
