Hello,
upfront: OMV is great! I use it now for some weeks on my raspberry pi 3b+
My problem, about which I cannot find any hint in the forum or the wider internet:
I use OMV together with the Duplicati Plugin. This works fine for the cloud backup of my family-server.
As I am travelling a lot I wanted to have my OMV accessible from the internet. So I used changeip.com as a dynamic dns service to make my omv behind my router accessible from outside my home.
Also I use the letsencrypt plugin in OMV for the domain-name provided by changeip.com. This way it works as expected to have the openmediavault UI accessible with a TLS encrypted transport layer.
But for the Duplicati-Plugin Userinterface which can be opened from the OMV UI (Services - Duplicati - Open web interface) it does not work.
When being inside my home network I can open it using <ip-address>:8200 (without TLS)
From the OMV-UI <mydomainname>, the UI tries to open <mydomainname>:8200 (it does this without the trailing "https://"). But even when entering directly entering https://<mydomainname>:8200 it does not work. Also when deactivating security (for a short time) a call to http://<mydomainname>:8200 does not work.
I looked at Duplicati documentation and saw that the host-name has to be configured there to be accessible. I tried this, but this also does not work.
Any idea how this should/could work?
Greetings from Hamburg
Matthias
