[REVSOLVED] openmediavault 0.5.36 - Blank screen after login
-
-
I was able to reproduce the problem using WastlJ's VM. I tried to find the problem but I got nothing. Tried:
- Added new logging lines from svn: no additional help or referring files
- increased apache log level to debug: no helpful output
- tried to run omv-engined in debug mode: wouldn't stay in debug mode and stopped logging to console, never found this problem beforeNot sure what else to try...
-
I guess we can say it isn't caused by a plugin now.
-
Have you tried if that fixes the problem tekkb?
-
I thought something was misspelled but I see there was a window form first and then a grid panel. I up for a bit searching.

Is it possible to get this VM, too? Please send me a PM with all information if possible. -

OK, here are the first results:
checking /var/log/apache2/openmediavault-webgui_access.log shows that EXTJS tries to autoload a unknown class.
Code- [03/Mar/2014:13:55:59 +0100] "GET /OMV/workspace/form/Panel.js?_dc=1393851359007 HTTP/1.1" 404 442 "http://192.168.xxx.yyy/" "Mozilla$
This is an indication that a plugin and its JS code does not declare all required dependencies via
Please check your plugins that this is done. Whitout a correct declaration of the dependencies the correct order of the JS files to be loaded is not fullfilled which leads in the current problem.

c0urier doesn't have any plugins installed according to his output at the top of this page.
-
It is only omvextras and supportinfo installed at my VM.

I'm sorry  , the issue was raised by myself. Bug has been fixed with http://sourceforge.net/p/openmediavault/code/915.
Strange that i did not have any problem on my test systems. But this shows that it is really important to correct declare the file dependencies.

Glad it is found Thanks WastlJ for uploading the VM. I think it helped a lot!
-
Thanks to all for helping to identify the bug.
-

drifting slightly from the original thread, but only due to the version. I too get blank screens
I installed a clean 0.5.24 install - no plug ins standard or otherwise - Web GUI works fine and login gui displayed in IE, or Firefox.
Updated using GUI and now operating at 0.5.44 courtesy of the updated files.
Now launching IE to main address of OMV gives blank GUI with no login dialogue box. BUT...OK on Firefox.
Please don't say use Firefox as the user base for this are SOE'd to IE.
Tested on two different hardware platforms, both AMD and also tested from browsers of 4 different PCs and laptops including SOE and non SOE machines with IE 9 and 10.This is repeatable.
Any directions to resolve this - other than not updating or not using IE would be appreciated.

Did you try the compatibility mode?
Cleared cache? -

There are a lot of updates between 0.5.0.24 and 0.5.44. Did you reboot the server?
