I'm hoping you can point me in the right direction.
I have a share with 3 "folders" in. 1 real folder and 2 Symlinks. if I follow the Symlinks in ssh they work correctly so I know they work.
If I try follow them from the share in windows it says the folder is not accessible. I know this is a Samba this and something to do with Wide Links and Follow Symlinks.
I have tried adding:
symlinks = yes
wide links = yes
to the SMB options and to the share options but neither make this work.
i see when i look at the smb.conf in /etc/samba that wide links is always set to no and then if i add this to the options it adds wide links = yes to the end. I'm sure this couldn't be good.
