Error #7001 - Failed to connect to socket

    when i try to login in my OMV webinterface this error appears:



    Failed to connect to socket: No such file or directory

    0.6.0.11svn is dangerous to run... Those builds are really meant for the plugin developers. Did you just install it and now the web interface doesn't work?

  • No it works really fine :)


    Try to install openmediavault-sickbeard :D but i think is was an wrong idea to run it on my live system :D :D :D


    If nobody can fix it i will do an reinstall. but nextime i will use an virtual machine for testing new stuff :D

    Try uninstalling the sickbeard plugin (it is still in testing too).


    apt-get remove --purge openmediavault-sickbeard

  • It doesn't sovle my problem. I will do a reinstall

    Do you (or did you) have systemd installed?

  • "Failed to connect to socket: No such file or directory" probably means that openmediavault-engined isn't running for some reason. To figure out why, run it manually with "omv-engined -f -d".
