[solved] rtcwake does not work (BIOS option too)

So, I want my computer to wake up every day at the same hour and Solo0815 provided a solution here which uses rtcwake but rtcwake does not work in my computer. I've tested it manually and the computer simply does not wake up. I've also noticed that the BIOS has an option to turn the computer on every time at a specified hour. Tried that, it also did not work... I believe both things are related, they are probably not working because of the same issue, whatever that is.

Does anyone have any ideas why?

Yes, ACPI options and RTC wake in BIOS enabled, does not wake up.

Haven't checked the BIOS version yet because I got this new motherboard because I screwed up the old one playing with the BIOS :X

BIOS update seemed to do the trick

I was running v1.30 and updated to v1.40 (latest) and it seems fixed now.
