[SOLVED] ESXi Doesn't mount NSF

  • I need to add in a ESXi server a NFS Datastore about ISO image stored in OMV
    I've a /Store/ISO shared folder
I've created a shared NFS with this folder

    ESXi IP Address is 192.168.2.20
So in OMV I've written 192.168.2.0/24
    I've also tried 192.168.2.20/24

In the field "Extra options" I've subtree_check,secure
    I've also tried subtree_check,secure,no_auth_nlm

In ESXi I add the NFS Datastore with:
Server: 192.168.2.21 (IP Address of OMV)
    Folder: ISO
    I've also tried /Store/ISO

    I've always the message
Call "HostDatastoreSystem.CreateNasDatastore" for object "ha-datastoresystem" on ESXi "192.168.2.20" failed.
NFS mount 192.168.2.21:ISO failed: The mount request was denied by the NFS server. Check that the export exists and that the client is permitted to mount it.
    An unknown error has occurred.

In the ESXi Client (VSphere Client) I login as "root".
    Where I wrong

Thanks in advance for your help.

  • I've solved the issue using in ESXi /export/ISO because this is what is reported in exports file.

  • 'showmount -e nasip' would've shown it to you too.
