CPU Clock Step Problem with Intel T7400

  • Hi @ all,

I have an Intel C2D T7400 (yes a mobile processor) on a MOCA-AR board. It's a HP OEM board with the Intel Intel 945GT chipset.

I try OMV 0.5.52 and the most things working fine.

But the CPU runs at maximum speed all the time.

cat /proc/cpuinfo returns 2.16 GHz while CPU is at 0 %.

cpufreq-info returns: "kein oder nicht bestimmbarer cpufreq-Treiber aktiv". In english something like: "no cpufreq driver running".

I'm not a linux expert, so please help me ;)

  • The CPU idels at 0%. There is no process that stress it. So CPU should clock down to something like 800 MHz, but it doesn't do so.

So the power consumption of the system is much higher then necessary.

    Mfg Bimbo385

  • Hier dein Modul raussuchen und per 'modprobe module' laden. Danach erneut cpfreqinfo ;)

  • after loading acpi-cpufreq the clock decreases to 1 GHz. Should be fine.

How I can make the system loading the kernel module automatic after reboot?

    thanks, bimbo385

    edit: find it by myself:

    nano /etc/modules

and type the name of module before loop
