    • problem starting mySQL (omv v.6)

      Good afternoon,

I have installed mySQL and when starting the service (enable) after setting the volume I get the following error in the UI

      Source Code

      1. Error #4000:

I have tried a purge and removal of the /var/lib/mysql directory before a reinstall of the plugin via the UI which has made no difference either.

a stat of the mysql-data directory is below

I had to purge all my MySQL packages. Do this:

      dpkg -l | grep mysql

that will give you a list. Write down all the packages and then:

apt-get --purge remove packagename (for all of them including the plugin openmediavault-mysql)

then install them again one by one

      apt-get install packagename

and lastly enable via the plugin in OMV's webgui.

      saved my life too: OMV 2.1 on RPi2 - mysql-plugin 1.0.16
