I am planning and testing my OMV Build out, and hope to have different types of drive pools depending on need. So for my high availability/speed drive set I plan on using HW Raid 6 (I have dual nics and a HW Raid Card), but also use Snap Raid or Greyhole for a second less demanding pool.
What are the iScsi best practices? Is it better to mount an iScsi volume on HW Raid? Can it be mounted on Software Raid 5/6? or on other options such as Snap Raid or Greyhole?
iScsi is new to me and I don't want to find out the hard way where it breaks.
