USB Backup: USB to NAS Issue

  • Hi there,

having trouble getting the USB Backup Plugin working for me. Hope you can help me :)

    Here is my setup:

The not viewable stuff is not changed from standard. So I want to create a backup from my external hard drive.

The external hard drive is listed and mounted as you can see here:

The shared folder is existent as you can see here (I can also access it from my computer):

But... I get an error message in the log, that I cannot understand:

    Code
    2014/09/02 13:18:22 [16736] building file list
    2014/09/02 13:18:22 [16736] rsync: change_dir "/media/2a9b29cf-e65f-3f18-b161-af616a3e0f5f/ExpansionDriveBackups" failed: No such file or directory (2)
    2014/09/02 13:18:22 [16736] sent 12 bytes received 12 bytes 48.00 bytes/sec
    2014/09/02 13:18:22 [16736] total size is 0 speedup is 0.00
2014/09/02 13:18:22 [16736] rsync error: some files/attrs were not transferred (see previous errors) (code 23) at main.c(1060) [sender=3.0.7]

Mainly line two says, that rsync is not able to find a folder "ExpansionDriveBackups" (Thats the selected shared folder on my NAS Server). The curious part is now: It is searching for this folder on my external hard drive?! I double checked the numbers. "2a9b29cf-e65f-3f18-b161-af616a3e0f5f" is the external hard drive. Obviously there is no folder with this name as I want to backup from there to "ExpansionDriveBackups".

Maybe in my thoughts is something going wrong and you can help me on that!

    Thanks in advance
    pku

Uncheck the "Synchronise from/to directory on external storage device." checkbox. If it is checked, it will look for a folder on the usb device with the same name as the share.
