Great news
Thanks a lot!!
Where can we find feature list for 1.0?
Volker will release a feature list when 1.0 is released.
The biggest feature is the move from Debian Squeeze (6) to Debian Wheezy (7) which will support a lot more hardware.
Other features are the dashboard and web interface is now served by nginx. armel and armhf architectures are supported as well. There are many more new features but this is just some of the big features.
Aaron,
Will ZFS be supported with the new release?
Great to know, really good work, keep it up.
Aaron,
Will ZFS be supported with the new release?
A ZFS plugin is in the works (about 75% done) but is not ready yet. Give it a month or two before there is something to try (alpha release).
does this mean that i can download an ISO on 15. or will there be any last changes until this date -> which means i should wait with the install until 15. ?
Just wait the 4 days.
Greetings
David
Awesome!
Very nicely planned, I just bought HDDs of 10TB storage capacity while planning to build my very first custom NAS, can`t wait for release
The new ISOs for OMV 1 will be released sometime on Sunday or Monday.
will the update for current systems go live at the same time as the iso's or is a fresh install recommended
Update is already there - omv-release-upgrade. While I have had plenty of successful upgrades, nothing beats a fresh install.
