suggestion: install on debian or from iso?

  • One Pro argument of installing debian first and omv from package repo is that you can create partions on your system disk.

    For example:
I'm using a 240GB SSD. I choosed one 20GB partion for my root system and one 220GB for data that you can use in OMV for Shares, VM's, etc...

If you use an OMV-ISO the whole system disk will be for your root system.(correct me here when I'm wrong).

You are correct but you can easily re-partition the system disk after installing OMV.
