Used space on System Drive is abnormally growing high every day

  • Good morning from Germany,

i have a little problem with my system drive a 160 GB SATA HDD. I installed a Debian Wheezy and OMV 1.x on it.
Since i installed the system with this config. (Wheezy / OMV) the used drive space is growing abnormally high every day.
At the moment i use 49.13 GB on etc/sdc1 is this normal ? it grows every day... apt-get clean runs usually at least
    once a week.

    Any idea ?

@dev team...Good luck for the big release today ! i really appreciate your work and i love the system :) Thanks a lot !!!

  • You can use the diskusage commandline tool, to find out which files use up our space.

    du -xBM --max-depth=1 / | sort -n

It might take a few seconds if you have lots of small files.
With --max-depth=X you can tell du to show more subdirectories.

  • It is probably an error log. There may be some issues. Try to figure out which file is growing and report back.

  • i will do so.. thanks Tekk
