I am new to linux. Need your help.
I have installed OpenMediaVault in one of my Home PC.
The Network configuration as follows
Host Name: NASHOME
Domain Name: MYDOMAIN
IP address: 192.168.1.140
Created a Shared Folder called backup
Gave permission to user for Read/Write.
User : sapphire
I have my office Laptop. Which as a different domain name: bluelagoon.abccorp.com
I want to copy some of my files from my office laptop to my home pc.
My office laptop is running Windows 7 enterprise
My Office Laptop and My NASHOME all connected to my home network now.
So I open windows explorer and tried to Map
Drive: Z:
Folder: \\192.168.1.140\backup
Connect using Different credential
WHen Windows asked for password I key in as follows
User Name: NASHOME\sapphire
Password ; xxxx
Windows explorer unable to find..
I also tried in windows explorer Address bar as follows
\\192.168.140\backup
I am unable to locate.
AM I making any mistake?
Is something related to domain name causing problem?
