Is it raid 1? If yes, then I would not use raid and just setup an rsync job or rsnapshot (plugin available) to run 1,2,3.. times a day.

I'm a big fan of the rsync plugin. Most of my jobs run 3-4x a day, which for almost all of us that are using OMV in the home, this will be plenty to keep data synced and properly copied. I just find it way way better than raid1. Once you get the timing structure all setup, it's perfect.

  • Sorry, Folks: too late. :(
I can't stop the creation (it's used by another...) of this RAID, because the Array-Config was stored on this two drives.
Cause of the missconfigured Postfix and my silly "solution", I thought it was better to reinstall Debian and OMV.
After this, my RAID was also restored with all the Data on it. Strange.

I will keep rsync in mind, if I run in trouble with RAID again.
    Thanks a lot!
