eXtplorer - server connection error

Hi all,
I need to copy many big files from a directory to another. I tried to use eXtplorer, everything good, but after a couple of minutes, it says "failed to connect to the server" and the copy stops.
I thought that was a timeout problem, but i can't find in the explorer gui a preference to change. I set to 0 the OMV web gui timeout, but nothing change.

Any idea in how to resolve?

It is a php timeout issue. You would be better off using winscp.

Same problem there.. Or similar.. When I try to copy, it starts opening a new SSH session, it hangs while copying the first one, then it says 'timeout'. The first file copy succeeded, the rest.. Abort. Can you help me there?

What kind of system? Something is very wrong. I would look in the Logs tab for errors.

The error code output there is the folder or destination is write protected.

I created from OMV web ui a new shared folder "Film" with read/write permission. Then i retried to copy directories and files.
Same errors.

The destination driver is NTFs, all the directories and files permissions that are to be copied are set to 777.
Can't solve... always this log:

And the message keeps repeating. How are you accessing winscp as root or standard omv user?

Have you check the mtab to see if the drive is mount as RW, that drive is NTFS apparently. Is normal also for winscp to hang while is in cp operation especially large files.

Also to note that SCP cannot move files across different drives/filesystems

I'm accessing as root.
Source is raid ext4, destination NTFS.
I'm not moving directories and files, but I'm using 'duplicate' function. I have to copy, not move.

Well the error keeps repeating that means the system is unable to write to the drive. Check the mtab with command mount see what displays there if the drive is RO or RW mounted

cat /etc/mtab told me:

Not really. The drive is rw it should be fine. If you copy the file through ssh command line do you have the same problem?

The problem is that mkv file is copied, not the others. But the process hangs and stops

And what command are you trying? The same "cp -r -p -r -f"?I would try that just with the -r switch. You're trying to preserve permissions on a non posix fs

Ok, after a lot of tries, i found that the right command to launch is: cp --no-preserve=all -r -f
Now.... How can I use it for multiple directories?

You just need to move your mouse to the right lightly touch the pattern menu, this is not a support forum for winscp btw
