Is there a way to limit space to certain users?

  • Happy new year to all of you :)

As already mentioned in the title: Is there a way to assign only certain GB to certain users so that it's impossible for one user to fill up my data drives?
I looked in my settings but couldn't find anything... :|

    Thanks!

  • Take a look at the quota option. You can find it at your data drive overview, where you can mount and unmount drives and so on. There you can set a restriction for each user. I've asked the same a few weeks ago in the unionfs plugin thread. :) Unfortunately the quota option doesn't work neither for the whole pool nor for single data drives, which are part of the pool, if you are using aufs for pooling.

  • Ok, I found that and played around with it. Now I can allow e.g. user A to use 5GiB - but how does the system decide what data belongs to user A? By storing data in user A's directories or because A is the owner of file xy?
