Hi Honey, I'm back!!
Not very happy with my router, my black box dropped off the network again yesterday evening 
As the server will be on 24/7, I've added the dns/dhcp plug-in and once everyone has finished work this evening I'll kill the dhcp on the router and hand it over to the box.
Found a laptop hard drive that I can use for the boot disk, thus freeing up the 250gb drive which can go in my now empty 2tb wd caddy I bought today (retail therapy, trying to beat my depression!!) for the princely sum of £50 
The 2tb is now sitting in bay 4 of the n40l 
Trying to find config guides for the dns/dhcp plugin now but just thought I'd update.
